THE REWARD OF KINDNESS (4:8-17).

III. THE MIRACLE IN THE UPPER ROOM (4:21-37),

 

 

Resurrection, a rare miracle.

 

 

 

 

Resurrection, by faith (vv. 21-27a).

 

 

– by faith she laid her son on Elisha’s bed (v. 21).

 

– by faith she insisted in visiting the prophet though far away (vv. 22-25).

 

– by faith she answered, “It is well” (v. 26). Heb. = SHALOM.

 

– by faith she passionately petitioned the prophet (v. 27-28)

 

– by faith she would not leave the prophet (v. 30).

 

 

“Without faith it is impossible to please God” (Heb. 11:6).

 

 

 

Resurrection, not by the power of the prophet (vv. 27b-33).

 

 

– Elisha had no ­­­­­­­­­­­____________________ (v. 27).

 

 

– Elisha’s staff had no ___________________ (vv. 29-31).
