Intro
A. THE LACK OF UNDERSTANDING BY THE APOSTLES
John 20:9 “For as yet they did not understand the Scripture that He must rise again from the dead.”
B. PROOF OF JESUS’ BODILY RESURRECTION
His resurrection body was able to eat food (Luke 24:42-43).
His resurrection body had the marks of his crucifixion (Luke 24:38-39).
People saw and touched His resurrection body (Matthew 28:9).
Jesus said He would raise His body up (John 2:19-21).
The OT prophesied of Jesus death and resurrection (Luke 24:25-27).
Paul affirms the resurrected Jesus as a man (1 Timothy 2:5).
If Jesus physical body did not rise from the dead, then what happened to it?
C. THE CHARACTERISTICS OF CHRIST’S RESURRECTED BODY
It could pass through a closed door (John 20:19).
