First Request:  “Keep them”
Intro

A. THE QUALIFICATIONS OF THE SON (John 17:10).

1) Equality with the Father.

2) Possessor of all things.

3) The glorified Son.

B. THE DEPARTURE OF THE SON (John 17:11a)

1) Christ is returning to the Father.

2) The disciples remain in the world.

C. THE REQUEST OF THE SON (John 17:11b-12).

“Holy Father” –

1)  Security (John:11, 15) –

2) Unity (v. 11).

3) Continuity (v. 12).

D. HOW DOES GOD KEEP US?

a) keep them –

b) “in Thy name, the name which You hast given Me” –

c) The prayers of the Son.
