A. THE FATHER AS JUDGE

1. Only one Judge. James 4:12
2. God entrusts righteous judgment into the hands of men. Ex. 18:16; Deut. 16:18
B. GOD’S STANDARD OF JUSTICE.
1. Impartiality – Deut. 10:17
a. Rich or poor – Lev. 19:15; Jas. 2:9
b. Great or humble – Deut. 1:17
c. Jew or alien/Gentile – Numb. 15:16; Deut. 1:16

d. Male or female – Deut. 24:17
Application

2. Each man’s work –
a. Based on individual actions. Col. 3:25; Rev. 20:12-13; 2 Cor. 5:10
b. Not based on the actions of our predecessors. Deut. 24:16; Jer. 31:30; Ezek. 18:20
C. THE FEAR OF THE LORD.
1) His wrath upon the wicked. Rev. 14:9-11
2) Fear of discipline in this life. Heb. 12
3) The judgment to come of the believer’s works. 2 Cor. 5:10
4) Fear of reverence. Psa. 33:8
