God speaks again!
Intro
A. GOD’S REBUKE TO JOB (Job 40:7-14).
1. God’s challenge to Job (Job 40:7).
2. God’s rebuke to Job (Job 40:8).
3. God exposes Job’s inability to rule (Job 40:9-14).
B. BEHEMOTH (Job 40:15-24).
1. God made Behemoth (Job 40:15a).
2. Description of Behemoth (Job 40:15b-18).
a. herbivore (Job 40:15)
b. powerful body (Job 40:16)
c. tail like a cedar (Job 40:17)
d. bones are tubes of bronze; limbs like bars of iron (Job 40:18)
3. Exalted character of Behemoth (Job 40:19-24)
C. LEVIATHAN (Job 41:1-34).
1. Job is unable to subdue or tame Leviathan (Job 41:1-10).
2. God owes nothing to anyone and owns everything under heaven (Job 41:11).
3. Description of Leviathan (Job 41:12-34).
a. Powerful body, scales like body armor, double mail (Job 41:10-17).
b. Mouth produces, sparks of fire, flames (Job 41:18-21).
c. His great strength and size; capture impossible (Job 41:22-32).
d. Totally unique; fears nothing; king over the proud (Job 41:33-34).
D. JOB’S REPENTANCE (42:1-6).
1. God is sovereign and Almighty (Job 42:2).
2. I spoke out of ignorance (Job 42:3).
3. You instruct me (Job 42:4).
4. Having seen you, I repent in dust and ashes (Job 42:5-6).
