               A. THE WOE OF THE WISE MEN (Daniel 2:1-13).

1) The king’s command (Daniel 2:1-3).

2) The request of the magicians (Daniel 2:4).

3) The king says “No” (Daniel 2:5-6).

4) They ask a second time (Daniel 2:7).

5) The king’s command is firm (Daniel 2:8-9).

6) The Chaldeans’ attempt at rebuttal (Daniel 2:10-11).

7) The king’s order of execution (Daniel 2:12-13). 

               B. A TRUE WISE MAN (Daniel 2:14-18).

1) His request of the king (Daniel 2:14-16).

2) The prayer meeting (Daniel 2:17-18).

C. GOD ANSWERS PRAYER (Daniel 2:19). 

               D. DANIEL’S PRAISE TO GOD (Daniel 2:20-23).

1) God praised for His wisdom and power (Daniel 2:20-21).

a) Demonstrated in His control of history

b) Demonstrated in His revealing the future.

2) God praised for His gifts (Daniel 2:22-23).

a) Demonstrated in His giving wisdom to men.

b) Demonstrated in His revealing hidden things.

c) Demonstrated in the specific revelation to Daniel.
