Sickness for the Glory of God
Intro
A. THE SICKNESS OF LAZARUS (John 11:1-5).
1) “Lazarus was sick” (John 11:2).
2) Sisters: Mary and Martha (John 11:1-2).
3) The Lord loved Mary, Martha, and Lazarus (John 11:3, 5).
4) Sickness was for the glory of the Son of God (John 11:4).
B. THE DELAY OF THE LORD (John 11:6).
LESSONS:
1) The importance of prayer.
2) The Lord does not always grant the requests of those whom He loves.
3) God’s delays or denials ultimately work for His glory and our good.
4) Ultimately it is not about us, but it’s all about God’s glory.
