The Blessings of Giving Thanks to God

 Intro

A. THANKSGIVING IS WORSHIP.

1) Thanksgiving is one of the highest forms of worship.

2) Thanksgiving is forever.              

3) Only the saints can truly give thanks to God on earth.

4) Thanksgiving is essential to worship for it is uniquely suited to giving glory to God because:

a) Thanksgiving acknowledges where our blessings came from.

b) Thanksgiving should be rooted in the excellency of God’s character

B. THANKSGIVING IS ALL-ENCOMPASSING.  

1) WHAT?  1Thessalonians 5:18

2) WHEN?  Ephesians 5:20

C. THANKSGIVING IS A REMEDY.

1) Fruitless worship –

2) Fearful worry –               

3) Foul words –

4) Frustrating weariness -
