A. THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (John 14:26).

1) The Paraclete – the Helper.

2) The Teacher.

B. THE GIFT OF PEACE (John 14:27).

1) Fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23).

2) Different from worldly peace.

3) Christ’s peace.

a) Peace with God.

b) Peace of God.

4) This peace is conditional.

C. THE GIFT OF JOY (John 14:28-29).

1) Missed joy due to defective love (John 14:28).

2) Reasons for joy.

3) Fulfilled prophecy will encourage faith, restore love and revive joy (John 14:29).

D.  THE GIFT OF THE SON’S OBEDIENCE (John 14:30-31).

1) The time is short (John 14:30).

2) Christ’s love of the Father seen in His obedience (John 14:31).
