1. The prosperity of the wicked is short (Job 20:1-11).

2. Sin and its retribution (Job 20:12-22).

B. JOB’S RESPONSE (Job 21).

1. The wicked prosper in every way and mock God (Job 21:1-16).

2. The rarity of their troubles being severe (Job 21:17-26).

3. The folly of the counsel of his friends (Job 21:27-34).

C. ElLIPHAZ (ch. 22).

1. Job’s wickedness asserted (Job 22:1-11).

2. Warnings to the wicked (Job 22:12-20).

3. Appeal to Job to repent (Job 22:21-30).

D. JOB’S RESPONSE (Job23-24).

1. Job’s desire to set his case before God (Job 23:1-7).

2. Job laments his inability to find God but trusts in God’s knowledge and decrees (Job 23:8-17).
