A. THE PROBLEMS IN INTERPRETING THE LAND PROMISE.

1) God promises the land as an inheritance to Abraham and his descendants.

Heb. 11:8-9, 13;  Gen. 13:14-15; 17:8.

PROBLEM:

2) The land promises are given for an “everlasting possession.” Gen. 13:15; 17:8.

PROBLEM:

B. A BETTER SOLUTION

1) Heb. 11:10, 16 –  the land of Canaan was a type of ________________________.

2) Dual fulfillment.

On this earth  –  Josh. 21:43-45

On the new earth  –  Isaiah

3) The spiritual transformation of the Abrahamic Covenant.
