Intro
A. AS A WARRIOR –
1) David fought and defeated the enemies of God’s people.
2) Goliath - 1 Sam. 17:26, 41-51.
B. AS A FUGITIVE -
1) His trials taught him humility and trust in God – 1 Sam. 24:14; 26:20
2) Reverence for God’s will - 1 Sam. 24, 26.
3) Find strength in the Lord - 1 Sam. 30:6.
4) Kingdom focused.
C. AS A WORSHIPPER
1) In bring ark to Jerusalem - 2 Sam. 6:12-20.
2) Psalms
3) A heart to build a house for God - 2 Sam. 7.
4) David knows that all he has comes from God - 1Chr. 29:14.
D. FAITH IN ECLIPSE
1) Moving the ark with a new cart - 2 Sam. 6:3.
2) David numbering the people - 2 Sam. 24:1.
3) Raising his sons - 2 Sam. 13-15.
4) David and Bathsheba - 2 Sam. 11.
E. AS A MAN AFTER GOD’S OWN HEART (1 Sam. 13:14; Acts 13:22).
1) He sought after God’s heart.
2) He repented with all his heart. 2 Sam. 12:13; Ps. 51.
