Pentecost comes from a Greek word meaning “fiftieth.”

B. THE TYPOLOGY OF PENTECOST IN THE O.T.

1. Passover – Lev. 23:5. CRUCIFIXION – Jn. 18:28; 1 Cor. 5:7

2. Feast of Unleavened Bread – Lev. 23:6. BURIAL

3. Offering of first fruits – Lev. 23:9-11. RESURRECTION – 1 Cor. 15:20-23

C. THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE OT.
