THE CHURCH JESUS IS BUILDING
Intro

A. THEIR GROWTH IN NUMBER (Acts 2:41).

1. 3,000 saved.

2. 3,000 baptized.

B. THEIR GROWTH IN GRACE (Acts 2:42-47).

1. It was a learning church (Acts 2:42).

a. The apostles were the teachers.

b. What did their teaching consist of?

c. The importance of Scripture.

2. It was a sharing church (Acts 2:42, 46).

a. Our fellowship with God.

b. Our fellowship with one another.

3. It was a worshiping church (Acts 2:42).

a. Breaking of bread – private meal or communion?

b. Prayer – plural “the prayers”.

c. “praising God” (Acts 2:47).

4. It was an evangelistic church (Acts 2:47).

a. Salvation is from the Lord.

b. Only those being saved were added.

c. They were added daily.
