B. THE JEWISH UNDERSTANDING OF THE TEMPLE.
1. They gloried in the temple.
2. External religion.
C. STEPHEN’S TEMPLE EMPHASIS IN HIS SERMON.
Key point: God’s presence is found worldwide, so the temple was always meant to be a temporary
dwelling of God.

Conclusion
1. Christ is the new covenant temple.
2. The church is the new covenant temple in Christ.
