A. RESPONSE OF THE PEOPLE (Acts 13:42-44).

1. Initial response (Acts 13:42-43).

“God-fearers” (Acts 13:16, 26) –

2. The great assembly on the following Sabbath (Acts 13:44).

B. RESPONSE OF THE JEWS (Acts 13:45-47, 50-51).

1. Jealousy (Acts 13:45).

2. Contradiction and blasphemy (Acts 13:45).

3. Paul’s response (Acts 13:46-47).

a. Necessary to preach to the Jew first.

b. The Jews rejected the gospel.

c. We are turning to the Gentiles which is our Scriptural mission. Isa. 49:6

4. Persecution (Acts 13:50-51).
