Christ's Strength for the Weary
Intro
I. ISRAEL'S COMPLAINT (v. 27).
A. My way is hidden from the Lord?
B. The justice due me escapes the notice of my God?
II. GOD'S CHARACTER (v. 28).
A. Strong faith can only exist when it is in a big God.
1) The Everlasting God-
2) LORD= Yahweh.
3) The Creator of the ends of the earth-
B. God never becomes tired, His understanding is inscrutable.
III. GOD'S CONDUCT (vv. 29-31).
A. God gives strength to the weary (v. 29).
B. God's strength is renewed in those who wait on Him (vv. 30-31).
1) What does it mean to wait on the Lord?
Look to God -
With Patience
With Expectation -
2) Waiting on the Lord give us new strength.
wings like eagles-
3) Blessed are those who wait on the Lord.
Psa. 25:3 Indeed, none of those who wait for Thee will be ashamed;
Psa. 147:11 The LORD favors those who fear Him, Those who wait for His lovingkindness.
Lam. 3:25 The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the person who seeks Him.
Psa. 130:6 My soul waits for the Lord more than the watchmen for the morning; indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning.
Conclusion
Psa. 27:14 Wait for the LORD; Be strong, and let your heart take courage; Yes,wait for the LORD.
Psa. 62:6 He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.
