Is God unjust?
Intro
A. JOB’S ANSWER TO HIS FRIENDS (ch. 6).
1. Job defends his grief/lament (Job 6:1-13).
2. Job rebukes his friends for their empty words (Job 6:14-30).
B. JOB’S APPEAL TO GOD (ch. 7).
1. Job describes his agonizing and hopeless condition (Job 7:1-10).
2. Job’s bitter complaint against God (Job 7:11-21).
C. BILDAD – “DOES GOD PERVERT JUSTICE?” (ch. 8).
1. God is both just and compassionate (Job 8:1-7).
2. History confirms this (Job 8:8-19).
3. Application to Job (Job 8:20-22).
D. CAN GOD BE UNJUST?
1. God cannot be unjust. Psa. 89:14
2. Thank God He is more than just.
3. When the saints suffer, we should remember:
a. We all receive better than we deserve.
b. We cannot expect to understand the ways of God.
c. All suffering for God’s people is designed to conform us more to the image of Jesus Christ. Rom. 8:29.
