Medicine for Suffering Saints

 

Intro

 

THE PURPOSE OF YOUR SUFFERING (1 Peter 4:12).

 

“fiery ordeal” –

 

 

Don’t be surprised –

 

 

The purpose of suffering is for our testing.

 

 

 

REJOICE NOW WHEN YOU SUFFER (1 Peter 4:13-14).

 

Difference in intensity -“to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ” (1 Peter 4:13).

 

 

Reasons for rejoicing.

 

a) Fellowship with Christ (1 Peter 4:13) –

 

 

b) Fellowship with the Holy Spirit (1 Peter 4:14) –

 

 

 

FUTURE REJOICING WHEN CHRIST RETURNS (1 Peter 4:13b).

 

Present suffering will lead to future rejoicing –

 

 

This rejoicing is “with exultation” –

 

 

The revelation of His glory –
