1. THE PURPOSE OF YOUR SUFFERING (1 Peter 4:12).

1. “fiery ordeal” -

2. Don’t be surprised -

3. The purpose of suffering is for our testing.

1. REJOICE NOW WHEN YOU SUFFER (1 Peter 4:13-14).

1. Difference in intensity -“to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ” (1 Peter 4:13).

2. Reasons for rejoicing.

1. a) Fellowship with Christ (1 Peter 4:13) -

1. b) Fellowship with the Holy Spirit (1 Peter 4:14) -

1. FUTURE REJOICING WHEN CHRIST RETURNS (1 Peter 4:13b).

1. Present suffering will lead to future rejoicing -

2. This rejoicing is “with exultation” -

3. The revelation of His glory -
