A. BLESSED BE THE AUTHOR OF OUR INHERITANCE (1 Pet 1:3).
1. God is blessed. 2. We do not add to His blessedness when we praise God.
B. THE BLESSING OF OUR HEAVENLY INHERITANCE (1 Pet 1:3-5).
1. God the Father has caused us to be born again (1 Pet 1:3
2. We are born again by the great mercy of the Father (1 Pet 1:33. Born again to a living hope (1 Pet 1:3).
4. The hope of our inheritance (1 Pet 1:4).
a. imperishable –
b. undefiled –
c. will not fade away –
d. reserved in heaven –
C. THE RECIPIENTS OF THE INHERITANCE (1 Pet 1:5).
1. “for you” (1 Pet 1:4b) –
2. We are protected by the power of God through faith (1 Pet 1:5) –
D. OUR INHERITANCE OF FUTURE SALVATION (1 Pet 1:5b).
1. It is future.
2. It is salvation from judgment. 1 Thess. 5:9; Rom. 5:9.
