I. THE MINISTRY OF THE PRIESTS IN THE EARTHLY TABERNACLE

 

A. Outer tabernacle (Heb. 9:6).

 

B. Inner tabernacle (Heb. 9:7-9a).

 

Blood for Himself and for the people

Only for sins committed in ignorance

 

C. The point made by the Holy Spirit (Heb. 9:8-9a).

 

D. The result (Heb. 9:9b-10).

 

First, what is our conscience?

 

Second, what is does it mean to not be perfect in conscience?

 

 

 

II.  THE MINISTRY OF CHRIST IN THE PERFECT TABERNACLE ABOVE (Heb. 9:11-14).

 

A. Christ is a high priest of the good things to come (Heb. 9:11-12).

 

B. The inferior blood and ashes of animals (Heb. 9:13).

 

C. The superior blood of Christ (Heb. 9:12-14).

 

1) Superior because it is HIS OWN blood (Heb. 9:12).

 

2) Superior because it obtained eternal redemption (Heb. 9:12).

 

3) Superior because it was offered through the eternal Spirit (Heb. 9:14).

 

4) Superior because Christ’s blood cleanses the conscience (Heb. 9:14).
