The Blessing of the Word of God

Intro

A. THE ATTRIBUTES OF THE LAW OF GOD (vv. 7-9).

1) The law of the Lord is perfect –

Blessing: “restores the soul” –

2) The testimony of the Lord is sure -

Blessing:  “making wise the simple”.

3) The precepts of the Lord are right –

Blessing: “rejoicing the heart” –

4) The commandments of the Lord are pure –

Blessing:  “enlightening the eyes” –

5) The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever –

6) The judgments of the Lord are true, righteous altogether -

B. THE VALUE OF THE LAW OF GOD (vv. 10-11).

1) More desirable than much fine gold.

2) Sweeter than honey from the honeycomb.

3) Warns us.

4) Rewards us.

C. THE RESPONSE TO THE LAW OF GOD (vv. 12-14).
