A. THE MEANS OF SAVING THE ELECT (1 Peter 1:2).
1. “by the sanctifying work of the Spirit”.
a. The Spirit is the Source of their sanctification.
b. What kind of sanctification is in view?

2. “to obey Jesus Christ”.
a. The phrase “to obey”, (Greek eis) expresses RESULT.
b. The obedience rendered to Jesus Christ probably refers to the “obedience of faith”. Acts 17:30; 1 Jn. 3:23; Rom. 1:5
3. “and be sprinkled with His blood”

B. PRAYER FOR THE ELECT (1 Peter 1:2).
