I. THE LORD’S SWORD IS DRAWN (v. 7).

 

A. The call to the sword, “Awake.”

 

B. The One to be struck.

 

1) “My Shepherd”.

 

                                2) “The man, My Associate”.

 

C. The striking of the sword.

 

1) The meaning of this sword.

 

2) How terrible this sword.

 

                                3) How can the LORD strike His Associate?

 

D. The result of striking the Shepherd.

 

1) The sheep are scattered.

 

                                2) The little ones are turned against.

 

 II. THE DIVISION OF THE LAND (vv. 8-9).

 

A. Two parts will perish.

 

B. One part will be left, though refined by fire.

 

C. Fulfilled?

                                 O what grace!
