Miracle at the Jordan

Intro

A. PURPOSE OF THE MIRACLE.

1. To exalt Joshua (Joshua 3:7; 4:14).

2. To show God leads His people to victory (Joshua 3:10-11).

3. To give witness to all the peoples so Israel will fear the LORD (4:24).

B. THE OBSTACLE OF THE JORDAN (Joshua 3:1-2).

1. The Jordan river.    

2. The Jordan at flood stage (Joshua 3:15).  

 

C. THE PREPARATION TO CROSS THE JORDAN (Joshua 3:2-6).

1. Follow the ark (Joshua 3:2-4).    

2. Consecration to prepare to see God’s wonders (Joshua 3:5).
