A. THE ROMAN COMMANDER AND PAUL (Acts 21:37-40)
1. The accusation - You are the Egyptian (Acts 21:38).
2. Paul identifies himself (Acts 21:39).

B. PAUL’S DEFENSE TO THE JEWS (22:1-22).
1. Paul’s pre-conversion life in Judaism (22:3-5).
a. Upbringing and religious education (22:3).
b. His character: zeal as a persecutor of Christians (22:4-5).
2. Paul’s conversion: his encounter with Christ (22:6-10).
a. Theophany (Acts 22:6).
b. Divine call (Acts 22:7-10).
(1) Individual call.
(2) Convicting call.
(3) Identifying call.
(4) Effectual call.
3. Paul’s commission given through Ananias (Acts 22:10b-16).
a. Immediate direction (Acts 22:10-11).
b. Blindness healed by Ananias (Acts 22:12-13).
c. His mission (Acts 22:14-15).
4. Paul’s baptism (Acts 22:16).
Command #1 - BE BAPTIZED, the means of doing that is to GET UP.
Command #2 - WASH AWAY YOUR SINS, the means of doing that is to call on His name. Ananias is NOT saying, wash away your sins by baptism.
